Dune Studio bio picture
  • WELCOME!

I'm Genevieve and I've been photographing families, weddings, babies and events in Hong Kong for more than twelve years, and even winning some awards, too. My passion is portraits and I love to capture and commemorate your moments in time. I am a specialist in creating beautiful art work from your images and taking them to the next level when it comes to display.
Contact me to discuss the possibilities for your session. I shoot in studio or on location. Why not browse the galleries and decide what you want to say about your family and yourself? Do you want the clean, expressive studio shots, where the focus is on a clean capture of features and skin tones at a special time in your lives, or do you prefer the personality of your city to be captured with you?
I have used locations all over this amazing place and all over the world to bring the best out of my clients. Use the contact button to email me and start your adventure today!

Celebrating a very special birthday.

The first birthday in Korea is a very special one with clothes and a ceremony which is said to dictate what kind of an adult the baby will grow into. I was so lucky to have this beautiful family in the studio to commemorate baby Eli’s big day. He brought along an adorable big sister and his grandparents were visiting too. I love the mix of traditional and modern in their pictures.

Lantern Festival

It’s a magical week in Hong Kong and we are looking forward to seeing the moon for Mid-Autumn festival! Victoria Park is all ready for the massive influx of people and the lanterns this year do not disappoint. There is a gorgeous section dedicated to Hong Kong street food, with Dim Sum, waffles, fishballs, curry and even a popcorn machine. A geodesic dome holds hundreds of water bottles in syncronised light formation – perhaps we are finally making a statement here about recycling! Animals from around the world make an appearance and there are puppets, stage shows, lantern making demonstrations and even the Tin Hau Fire Dragon. We are feeling very lucky to be part of such a vibrant community with its beautiful customs. The lanterns stay in the park for the weekend and the Fire dragon makes appearances every night at 7.30 until Friday. So – if you want to see a 48kg dragon, made of 72,000 incense sticks, come and take a look!

Lunga Riding Stables

I loved having the opportunity to photograph the beautiful horses of Lunga at work and play. The Argyll coastal setting is among the most stunning scenery I have ever seen, the owner, Patricia, is inclusive, friendly and entirely patient with anyone who crosses the yard, even my two little monkeys who wanted to go up every day for holiday club (also Saturday club!).  Kids get to be stable hands, grooms and riders for 3 hours and have lunch with the horses. It’s also the only place in Scotland to ride with Western style tack. I can’t recommend it enough, to anyone heading up to Scotland. A beautiful way and place to spend a few days.
